Class of 1989

Andy Storms created a new line of Technical Soft Goods for foster kids in the Seattle, Washington, area. The Go Bags are filled with pajamas, coloring books, blankets, toiletries and other comfort items to make foster children feel a little better about moving into foster care. Technical Soft Goods is team of designers, pattern makers, and production liaisons with the know-how, the creativity, and resources to transform practically any idea into a finished product.

 

 

Class of 2001

Michael Pieper and his family live in the suburbs of Chicago. He and his wife Melanie are celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary this October. They have two children, Lucie (almost 3) and Maximus 1 1/2. They have also have a French bulldog named Chloe.  Michael is a ten year sales veteran and is currently working at CareerBuilder. 

 

 

Class of 2002

Matthew Villmer became a partner at Weaver, Bennett & Bland, P.A., North Carolina office. The announcement comes days after Matt was named a 2017 Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. For almost 10 years, Matt has practiced in the areas of civil litigation and business contract drafting. He joined the firm of Weaver, Bennett & Bland, P.A., in 2015, and since then Matt has worked with their litigation practice group on complex matters including large-scale consumer fraud claims, medical malpractice and wrongful death actions, construction defect litigation, and will contests and estate litigation.

 

 

Class of 2012

Will Hodge is now stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, with the 4th Brigade, 25th Airborne Infantry Division. He is an artillery officer and is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan later this fall. We wish Will all the best and thank him for his service.

 

 

 

Class of 2013

Nathan Smith graduated in May 2017 from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in History. He received a substantial merit-based scholarship to attend the University of Akron’s School of Law this fall where he plans to specialize in Intellectual Property Law. Nathan is pictured here with sister, and EDS parent Karie McKean, and current Day School fourth grader, Domino Goforth at his graduation.
