Affording Day School

Evansville Day School’s tradition of diversity, inclusion, and accessibility is the cornerstone of the Flexible Tuition Program and other tuition reduction opportunities. In short, a Day School education costs what you can afford. From need-based assistance to merit and school choice scholarships to other discount programs we work with families on an individual basis to ensure the premier education experience is within your reach.

Evansville Day School offers a multiple-child discount to families with three or more children enrolled.

  • The third or youngest child enrolled receives a 33% tuition discount.
  • Fourth or youngest child enrolled and beyond receives a 50% tuition discount.

Just as Evansville Day School is enthusiastic about the success of each student, we are equally as eager to make tuition affordable for all.  To discuss tuition assistance options for which your family may be eligible, contact Karen Chatmon, Director of Admission today.

Tuition Reduction Opportunities

Evansville Day School is committed to fostering a school community that values diversity and accessibility. Affordability is not an obstacle for mission-appropriate students to benefit from Evansville’s preeminent educational experience. This commitment is demonstrated through Day School’s Flexible Tuition Program (FTP).

In short, the Flexible Tuition Program (FTP) allows families to pay what they can afford. Nearly one-third of Day School students participate in the Flexible Tuition Program (FTP).  The school contributes $1.3 million annually in tuition reduction to ensure that each family's financial commitment is based upon that family’s available resources.  Application to the FTP is open to all families who complete the Evansville Day School admission process, which is confidentially administered through FACTS, a third-party tuition assistance provider.
Even at the highest level, a Day School education is 40% lower than comparable independent schools. Our affordability is further enhanced through the FTP where tuition ranges from 10% to full tuition, depending upon each family’s financial ability. This ensures that families from all income levels have access to a premier educational experience featuring a diverse student body and a schoolwide culture of inclusion.
As with most independent schools, Day School operates largely with tuition funds from the FTP program, along with Annual Fund giving, other fundraising efforts, and auxiliary revenue programs. Families contribute to Day School in a myriad of ways including volunteerism, in-kind donations, and participation in Friends (parent association) activities.

You can afford to attend Evansville Day School!

  • All inquiries about FTP are confidential.
  • FTP awards are based on financial need and the availability of funds.
  • To apply for FTP, families must complete a Flexible Tuition application provided by the FACTS Financial Aid system
  • NOTE:  families must also complete our online admission application, in addition to the application for FTP.
  • Priority is given to students who complete the application by February 1 each year.
  • Over 30% of our student body currently participate in the FTP.
