What’s Changing for 2026–2027 & Beyond
Beginning July 2026, Indiana’s Choice Scholarship program will become universal, opening the door for every Indiana family.
Key Changes You Should Know:

Universal Access
All Indiana resident students in grades K–12 (ages 5–21 by October 1) may apply—no income limits. -
No Pathway Requirements
Students no longer need prior public school attendance, an IEP, or other qualifying pathways. -
Private School Students Included
Students already enrolled in private schools are now eligible to apply.
These changes make it easier than ever for families to choose the school that best fits their child.
What About the 2025–2026 School Year?
For the 2025–2026 school year, the program still follows current guidelines, including household income limits of approximately 400% of the federal free and reduced-price lunch levels.
