Meeting the technological needs of our EDS students and faculty is always the top priority for the technology department. Because students utilize technology on a daily basis, we review our technology labs, equipment, and offered programs each year to determine what will best serve our students’ needs and interests. By constantly upgrading to state-of-the-art technologies, we strive to meet and exceed the needs of our students and provide superior preparation for their future collegiate experience.
On a scheduled two-year rotation, labs are upgraded with new Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suites, and professional design applications produced by Autodesk, Adobe, and Java. Students have a variety of professional software options from which to choose, allowing them to create movies, videos, family photo albums, background scenes, and more.
Current technology courses have been designed to meet student’s interests from Computer Science and Networks and Systems to Digital Cinematography, Broadcasting and Maya.
