The Mathematics curriculum is an essential part of the Primary School program.  Each student from Junior Pre-K through Grade Four is trained to think critically, and to take the sums and equations learned in the classroom and extrapolate them in practical terms to the outside world.  Mathematical activities are also integrated into other areas of study, allowing students to engage their reasoning and mathematical skills in a wide variety of fields.  By employing questioning techniques such as “How did you get to that answer?” we encourage students to support their reasoning and gain a deeper understanding of mathematical solutions.  Our students learn via whole group, small group, and individual work as well as by mentoring each other, while hands-on activities are used to expand the math concepts for every type of learner.
