The Middle School Science program centers on planet earth and the things in it, on it, and around it. Learning resources include text books, themed units, lab activities and individual projects that emphasize the methods scientists apply to the basic Science Process Skills. Our teachers and staff stimulate interest in, curiosity about, and enthusiasm for learning science by promoting a sense of wonder, appreciation, and stewardship toward the natural world. The science program challenges our students to use current technology such as computers and sensors as they practice these skills, and instructors strengthen the skills of our young scientists by developing their powers of observation, inquiry, experimentation and interpretation. Course materials have been selected from a variety of sources to create a curriculum that is unique to our school and carefully suited to our students and our environment.
