Evansville Day School’s Middle School has been created specifically to meet the sensitive needs of young people in Grades Five through Eight. While this period of development can be complex, it is also a time of tremendous academic growth, emotional maturity and social discovery.
The Middle School works to strengthen students’ core academic skills while helping them become confident, critical thinkers who can problem-solve, cultivate strong study skills, and understand how to employ a wide variety of resources. Appropriate levels of independence, personal responsibility, and respect for one another are highly valued and always nurtured.
We also focus on reinforcing the importance of living healthy and balanced lives as our young learners participate in the many activities and passions that complement their academic responsibilities, including, but in no way limited to music, art, athletics, robotics, and community service.
