A Message from our President:
The EDS Alumni Association recently hosted a Hotdog Social for the Middle and Upper School students and a chili supper for EDS families. While cooking and mingling, we were mindful of so many wonderful memories of our time as students at Evansville Day School. During the events, we especially enjoyed connecting with current students and witnessing first hand their enthusiasm for the school.
On a personal note, it is hard for me to believe that eighteen years have passed since graduating - it just seems like yesterday. I would like to take a moment to explain why I am involved with the school and honored to be the current Alumni Association President. Simply put, Evansville Day School prepared me for life by providing me a great education in a safe and nurturing environment. I grew up at the school and it was like a "second family" to me. I want my children to have this same opportunity and for Evansville Day School to thrive for many generations to come.
I would like to applaud my predecessor Stacy Stevens and countless other dedicated alumni for their service. Huge strides have been made in reconnecting with alumni at such events as the All School Reunion, the All School Picnic, the Holiday Party, and the Alumni/Senior Luncheon. But, there is still much more to be accomplished and we must continue to build on past successes. An Alumnus recently asked me how she could better support the school. I first congratulated her for already being a supporter by entrusting her children's education to the school and then went on to discuss other ways for her as an alumnus to give back including advocating for Evansville Day School, participating in alumni activities, volunteering, and contributing to the Annual Fund.
My vision is that each alumnus will ask this same question and endeavor to increase their current support of Evansville Day School. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerly,
