Evansville Day School provides motivated students a challenging and well-articulated college-preparatory academic program that is time-tested and shows excellent results. We want to make a Day School education available to students who are serious about learning and want to enter college prepared to excel. We’re continuing to build our High School enrollment because we believe that both the school and the students will benefit. We also believe the Evansville community will benefit by providing this opportunity to families who may have felt that the wealth of benefits offered by an independent school education was out of their reach financially. The Merit Scholarship Program is restricted to first-time applicants to Evansville Day School. Continued awards will be based on grade point average and positive contributions to the life of the school and the Evansville community. Applicants who are currently in grades 7 (or 8) - 11 will sit for a two-hour exam. Scholarships will be awarded based on test results (above 90th percentile in one of two areas, and greater than 75% in the remaining area), a short essay, personal interviews, grades and letters from teachers.
